Turban headbands are an absolute trend, and there are an incredible number of patterns out there, but most are quite narrow. Until recently, I was of the opinion that my head wasn't made for headbands. The bands were constantly slipping off my head. I then ventured to create my own pattern. I wanted the headband to be wide, fit well, and, of course, look good and high-quality—both from the front and the back. I also didn't want to incorporate an elastic band or hair tie. The "Urban Headband" is not quite as simple and quick to sew as many headbands, but it is not difficult or tedious either; you don't even have to measure or calculate anything yourself, that's already taken care of.

The pattern is available in nine sizes. It is beautifully wide but also fits perfectly at the nape of the neck thanks to the darts. You can sew it from jersey, or for winter, as a warming headband made of knit fabric or summer sweat fabric. The photo tutorial includes every sewing step, so even beginners with some sewing experience can give the headband a try.
