Cushions are always a hit in children's rooms. Animals are very popular with us at the moment and surely will be for a while. So, it had to be an animal cushion. I started with a classic, a bear; I like bears. Otto is the first animal cushion I ever sewed, and I had a total moment of joy when he turned out exactly as I had designed and imagined him. He now lives with us in blue and orange (I definitely still have to sew a third one—three children, three bears... now I just have to decide on the colors... maybe a polar bear this time?). In case you also have little or big animal fans at home, have always wanted to sew a bear cushion, or are looking for ideas for a special gift, I sewed Otto a second time, photographed all the steps, digitized the pattern, and turned it into a detailed eBook. It is really not difficult and is huge fun! Perhaps a cuddly bear will soon be living in your child's room, too. I would be delighted and am, of course, excited to see great ideas for color combinations!
